Therapy with Natalie Peters

What to Expect

Therapy offers a confidential and supportive space where you can explore personal challenges, emotions, and relationships safely and without judgement.

My role is to support and guide you through this process with empathy and understanding, helping you gain insight, develop coping strategies, and work towards the goals that feel important to you. Therapy is collaborative, and we will work at a pace that feels comfortable for you.

If I believe that another type of support or specialist service may better meet your needs, I will always discuss this with you and help you access the most appropriate support.

The relationship matters

A strong therapeutic relationship is at the heart of meaningful therapy. Feeling safe, comfortable, and understood can make it easier to open up, explore difficult emotions, and create lasting change.

That’s why I offer a free 15 minute consultation. an opportunity for us to talk through your needs, ask any questions you may have, and see whether working together feels like the right fit for you. If it feels like the skills of a colleague or alternative service might be better suited to your situation I will always let you know.

How many session?

The number of therapy sessions needed is different for everyone and will depend on your individual circumstances and goals. Some people benefit from short-term support, while others may prefer longer-term therapy.

We can begin with an initial session to explore your needs and decide how best to move forward together. Sessions can then continue on a weekly basis, with regular reviews to reflect on your progress and ongoing needs. Planned endings can be helpful, although you are always free to end therapy whenever you choose, and breaks can sometimes be beneficial too. You're not tied into anything.

How it works

A compassionate space for growth, thoughtfully tailored to your unique journey

Integrative Therapy

As an integrative therapist, I draw from a range of therapeutic approaches including Person-Centred therapy, Transactional Analysis, Attachment Theory, CBT and Psychodynamic ideas. This allows me to offer flexible and tailored counselling sessions, shaped around what you need the most. I have particular experience working with survivors of sexual assault and supporting people working through trauma and the impact of abuse.

Beginning therapy can be a vulnerable step. Here, your first session is a warm invitation to begin sharing your story in a non-judgmental environment. I offer a supportive presence as you navigate your thoughts and feelings, establishing a pace that feels safe, grounded, and entirely yours.
